The History Of Ultimate Plumbing

Joe Hughes obtained his NC plumbing license in 2007 and when he was thinking of a name to start his own company, his thoughts were: “When I call for a plumber I want to make sure I get the “Ultimate knowledge, skill and service” “Someone you would recommend your mother to!” With that thought , Ultimate Plumbing was born in April 2007 in Mooresville, North Carolina. The company started with one man, one van and a dream from the office of his home!

Over the past 16 years the business has been at the center of Mr. Hughes’ heart and has employed his family and other fantastic plumbing technicians and office staff. We pride ourselves on being a family run business with a love for our community and country. Mr. Hughes has expanded his knowledge and expertise over the years with a plumbing license in NC, SC and Texas. Mr. Hughes obtained his plumbing license in Texas because Ultimate Plumbing sent technicians to Texas to help those after the deep freeze in 2021 to repair water lines and do water mitigation. Mr. Hughes also holds a NC Onsite Wastewater Installer License (septic). He is also a certified Charlotte water tester, Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester, CSI Water Treatment Certified for diagnostics and servicing, Rinnai Certified for diagnostics and Servicing and certified to install submersible well pumps.

Ultimate Plumbing strives to provide “Ultimate Services” to all customers and with that in mind, Mr. Hughes took the time to speak to his customers and learn their needs. In doing so he learned that many customers wished they could employ one company to handle all of their residential and commercial repair needs.  Mr. Hughes took that information and began building departments of Ultimate Plumbing to include HVAC, Restoration (water mitigation), Roofing and a Home Remodeling Department. Ultimate has done many projects to include all of these new services!
